Here at the Rockin U we believe in good ground work. If you lay the proper foundation, horse and rider will have an easier time communicating in the future. We stress the importance of "Whoa" before GO and last but not least, soft hands can make or break a connection.
We offer a wide variety of services from Rodeo Seasoning, Team Roping or WSCA Game training, Colt starting/Ground up training, Tune up's, Medical babysitting, Halter breaking, Sale showing and Lessons. If there is something particular you feel your horse needs please contact us for prices. **Rates increase $50 in winter months.
Event Training
We can start your horse or tune him up on Team Roping, Breakaway, Barrels and many other rodeo and WSCA events.
We also offer roping practice. Come learn on the roping dummy, start on the ground and work up to the mechanical steer. *actual live steer practice may vary*
Rodeo tune ups are $200 per week.
*Rodeo tune ups may include a show or traveling depending on dates and individual circumstances.
*Hay and grain are provided.
*Team roping practice has been limited to sled steer only at this time. No jackpots until further notice.

Colt Starting
For the horse who knows nothing or needs to start from the beginning. Emphasis on Stops, backing, word and leg cues and overall "exposure training".
One riding lesson is included and is mandatory at the end of program before we will let the horse go home.

Tune ups
Does your horse have a little spring in his step every spring? Let us put the first rides on them for the year and save you any bumps or bruises.
Tune ups can be anytime of year, whether it's been a month since the horse last rode or two years. Maybe you just need them to soften at the poll or learn the meaning of "Whoa" again.
We reestablish voice, leg and reign commands, exposure training and work on obstacles you may or may not come across.
Horses are exposed to everyday life which includes four wheeler's, dogs, cats, tractors, kids with little red wagons as well as standing tied to one of our many areas, hitching post, cross ties and tie lines.
Cost is $150 per week.
*Hay and grain provided.
*Tune ups sometimes lead to needing to sell your horse- in this case we will work with you and your situation and come up with the best option for both parties.

Sale Showing/ Sale Services
For owners who would rather not be in the sale ring or even at the sale when the horse is sold. Rockin U can get your horse groomed and show ready as well as showing it to it's best potential.
If you would rather a more personal approach to selling your horse try our sale services, where we help advertise and match a new rider with your horse.
Tune up rates apply $150 per week

Lessons
​
Bring your own horse or use ours in a private one on one lesson custom tailored to your specific needs and goals.
$40 per hour, Lessons average 1 1/2 hours.
* No more than 4 in a lesson group if everyone brings their own horse.
* No more than 1 if we provide the horse.

Individual Weekend Lessons: $175 (Fri night to Sunday morning)

Group Weekend Lesson/ Clinic: $400 for up to 4! That's $100 each! (Fri night to Sunday morning)

We tailor our weekend lessons to each rider! Come advance your leg work, trail skills, roping, barrels, games, working cattle or just gaining confidence!

Livestock Transport/ On Site Visit
​
Don't have a trailer? Need a horse brought to us? Between our 2 Horse bumper pull trailer or the 6 Horse goose-neck we can move just about anything. Just let us know location and possible dates and we will work with you on almost any situation.
On Site Visits are for those we have trained and may be having a few issues since going home. We will come to you and work, one on one to help solve almost any problems you may be having.
