WOMEN'S WEEKEND

FALL RIDE IN TOGO, MN

2017

Togo Horse Camp is located about 25 min North of Effie, MN.  If you have never been then this is a must add to your trail ridding bucket list!

For our Annual Fall Ride we stayed the weekend and enjoyed ourselves on what should have been and was predicted to be one of the rainiest weekends that fall.  But you know what they say "Aint made of sugar so we wont melt!".

Togo Horse Campground is a primitive camping spot near Thistledew Lake. You can bring portable corrals, but make sure they don’t encircle any trees during setup.

Pack drinks and snacks and set off on the 19 miles of multi use trails, through forests and meadows, past rivers and lakes—and, be sure to bring your camera to capture the scenic views!

OUR CAMPSITE(S)

Pull thru spots give even the worst drivers comfort in parking and the big group areas make this an ideal spot to take the girls (or family) so we can all hang out.  Picnic tables at each site chained down but movable to some extent and nice big fire rings with movable grates for cooking.  Tie outs are also provided for the horses with manure pits spread out throughout the camp, so please keep it CLEAN!

POTLUCK TIME!

Everyone brings one meal to share on Sat night.

The rest of the weekend is fend for yourself.  And of course BYOB!

There has never been a shortage of food!  You ladies are the best cooks.

And of course we have a 1 dog rule!  Or should we say Cat!  These two lil guys came along and were the

puurrr-fect camp hosts!

LET'S RIDE

So with rain slickers tied on just in case, we hit the trail!  Temps were on the chillier side but the colors of fall were perfect!

We rode for several hours that day and two and a half the following morning.

Best part of fall riding in colder temps.....no bugs!

A few drinks were passed around.

And when you have no coozie.....

leather gloves will do in a bind.

Our last day the sun came out and we rode in fall's beautiful colors.

These trails range from wide and flat to tight and hilly.  There are spots with plenty of rocks and there are some good soft sandy ones.

Keep a watch on this web page and our facebook page to see when we hit the trail next.  We'd love to have you ride with us!
